Question

What should I focus on today?

Cards Drawn

  • Present: Two of Wands — Making Plans

  • As Below: Four of Cups — Melancholy
  • Clarifier: Seven of Cups (Reversed) — Discernment

Reflection

For starters, I’m finding the six cards a LOT of cards to read but I actually look forward to it. I like the idea of having more cards to work with and more time to get to memorize them.

Today’s reading felt surprisingly practical. Rather than pointing me toward some external mystery or spiritual lesson, the cards seemed to redirect my attention inward toward organization, discipline, and clarity.

The central card, Making Plans, tells me that my focus today should be on creating structure instead of continuing to drift from one idea to another. In both of my YouTube channels I feel like I’m without clear direction and always looking for what I should do next and not doing anything if I don’t feel inspired. Planning is not simply about making lists; it’s about choosing a direction and committing to it and I’m not very good at that.

The reversed Emperor in the past position initially made me think about authority, but the message that resonated most with me was that I haven’t been managing my own gifts well. I’ve allowed my talents and opportunities to be scattered rather than directed with purpose. In that sense, I’ve been a poor steward of what I’ve been given.

The future card, Harmony, offers encouragement. If I can establish that structure and begin acting intentionally, the result isn’t merely greater productivity—it’s a greater sense of peace, satisfaction, and emotional balance. Harmony isn’t presented as something that simply happens; it appears to be the reward for disciplined planning.

The As Above position reveals Blockage, suggesting that many of the forces pulling me off course originate outside myself. For me, I find my pieces tendencies of getting lost in fantasy, keep me off balance. Constant distractions, competing priorities, unfinished projects, and the endless flow of information all compete for my attention all the time. They make it difficult to settle into meaningful work.

The As Below card, Melancholy, reveals the internal consequence of those distractions. Rather than making me happy that I always have something to do, I am constantly chasing the next thing which leaves me feeling dissatisfied and emotionally drained. The clutter outside eventually becomes clutter inside.

Finally, the clarifier, Discernment reversed, ties everything together. The lesson isn’t simply to work harder; it’s to become more selective. I need to exercise better judgment about what deserves my time and attention. Not every opportunity requires a response. Not every distraction deserves my curiosity. The more intentional I become about what I allow into my day, the easier it will be to follow through on the plans that truly matter.

Today’s reading feels less like a prediction and more like a reminder: clarity creates structure, structure creates progress, and progress leads to peace. My challenge is to develop the discernment to separate what merely captures my attention from what genuinely deserves it.

  1. It’s so hard to remain focused when you have such a curious mind isn’t it? I’m a Sagittarius and we are always seeking knowledge about everything, we are seekers, constantly wanting to know, well, everything. For me, it means I have trouble following one path because every path can lead to something new. So this reading resonated with me as well. It is all great advice. Perhaps you should ask the cards how on Earth we can go about accomplishing this. Maybe it’s just better self-discipline, but I would be interested to see if the cards had an answer for that. I suppose I could ask my own cards, but I have about 30 other thoughts on my mind right now. Lol. There’s that mental clutter you were talking about. Is it just me or do you also feel like the cards are like therapy sessions without the doctor sometimes?

  2. Sometimes the mind chatter drowns out the good that is going on. Look at the family you have created, here and on your TC channel. We have been here for your ups and downs and will continue to be. Take a breath. Good things are coming
