Reflection
Today’s reading felt deeply connected to my YouTube journey and the mindset I’ve found myself trapped in over the past several months.
The central card, Stagnation, immediately captured how I’ve been feeling. Despite continuing to work, I often feel as though I’m standing still. I put time and effort into my channels, yet it frequently seems like little changes. Watching competitors grow while my own progress feels slow leaves me wondering whether my efforts are making any real difference.
Looking back, the reversed Eight of Pentacles as Unmotivated feels like the natural consequence of that stagnation. When it seems as though everything I try falls flat, motivation begins to disappear. It’s difficult to stay excited when each new project carries the fear that it will simply become another disappointment.
The future card, Hoarding, was the most interesting to me. My immediate reaction wasn’t about money or possessions, but about what I’ve already built. The image of the man clutching the coin made me think of myself holding tightly to my existing audience, my current format, and what I’ve already accomplished. Rather than risking something new that could help me grow, I’m becoming increasingly concerned with protecting what I already have. The fear of losing ground may actually be preventing me from moving forward.
The Wheel of Fortune in the As Above position offered an important contrast. I interpreted it as a reminder that opportunities continue to exist. New possibilities are still turning somewhere beyond my immediate view. The universe—or simply life itself—continues to present openings. The question is whether I’m willing to recognize them when they appear.
The obstacle lies in the As Below card, Failure. My fear of failing has become so influential that it shapes many of my decisions before I even make them. Instead of asking, What might succeed? I often find myself asking, What if this doesn’t work? That mindset makes it easy to stay where I am rather than risk discovering something better.
Finally, the clarifying card, Melancholy, seems to describe the result of all these influences working together. Rather than actively pursuing new opportunities, I find myself sitting with disappointment, reflecting on what isn’t happening instead of taking the next step toward what could happen.
This reading doesn’t suggest that opportunities are absent. Quite the opposite. It suggests that my greatest obstacle isn’t the lack of opportunity—it’s the fear of letting go of what I’ve already built in order to pursue something greater.
The message I take away today is that growth almost always requires some degree of risk. Holding tightly to the past may feel safe, but it can become its own kind of prison. If the Wheel of Fortune is still turning, then my responsibility isn’t to cling to what I have—it’s to remain willing to reach for what comes next.

I happen to think that you and your channels are amazing. I watch your show every night. It’s the only channel I go to on a regular basis because your format clicks for me. Even when you are reading through documents, which frankly I find so tedious and boring on other channels and before I know it, my mind is elsewhere, but you make it different and engaging and even funny. It’s those things that keep me coming back. You teach, but you don’t lecture. I often think you are way too hard on yourself. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. Maybe it’s time for a different perspective. When I find myself stuck, I ask myself, “what would I say to my daughter in this situation?” In this instance I would tell her to make a list of what she has accomplished, what she wants to accomplish, what is within her control to accomplish, what is most importantto her and what can she realistically accomplish. You may not have the numbers that others have, but you have a loyal audience where almost everyone engages in the chat. That is not true for the other channels. I know if I do happen upon a live on another channel, I am not as engaged. Your shows have become such an important part of my day, that on Sundays I feel a little lost. Also, I think there are a lot of us who are suffering from ID4 fatigue and frustration. That’s not on you, that’s because we want answers and accountability and it seems farther away than ever. Again, that is not a reflection on you, but more a general mood of we all want corruption to be brought to light and people held accountable. We also want justice for any and all involved.
