Arcanum – Day 6 – A Shared Victory

Question

How did my personal reading go for the first person who asked me for a reading?

Reflection

This reading felt less like an evaluation of my performance and more like a summary of the journey that took place between the querent and me.

The present card, Discord, suggested that the person came to me because something in their life felt out of balance. There was uncertainty, conflict, or tension they were hoping to better understand. That imbalance was what brought them to seek a reading in the first place.

The Moon in the past position reinforced that feeling. During the reading, I found myself sensing that there was something hidden beneath the surface—something that either hadn’t been fully recognized or had been obscured by fear, uncertainty, or misunderstanding. Much of the reading became an attempt to bring that hidden issue into the light so it could be examined more honestly.

The future card, Queen of Pentacles, gave me the impression that the reading would ultimately be helpful and nurturing. Rather than simply identifying a problem, the goal was to leave the querent feeling supported and empowered to move forward. If my interpretation was accurate, then the reading provided encouragement as much as insight.

The As Above card, Collaboration, continues a theme that has appeared repeatedly in my readings. I interpreted it as suggesting a collaboration with something beyond myself—whether that is intuition, higher consciousness, symbolism, or a spiritual presence. Whatever its source, I never feel as though I’m reading entirely alone.

The As Below card, Cooperation, reflected the relationship between myself and the querent. A meaningful reading isn’t something a reader performs for someone; it’s something that unfolds with someone. As the conversation developed, we worked together to explore the cards and the questions they raised. That cooperation allowed the reading to become more meaningful than either of us could have achieved independently.

Finally, the clarifying card, The Chariot, brought the message together beautifully. Victory didn’t feel like winning in a competitive sense. Instead, it represented a successful experience for both of us. The querent gained insight into the question they had brought, and I gained confidence that I can provide thoughtful and meaningful readings for others.

Looking back, this reading reinforced the conclusion I reached only a day earlier: offering personal readings may be one of the best ways to continue developing my skills. Every reading becomes an opportunity to learn, to collaborate, and to help someone reflect on their circumstances. If I approach each one with humility and compassion, then every successful reading becomes a shared victory rather than a personal achievement.
