Question: What am I doing here? What is my purpose in this reality?
Today’s three-card reading felt much more immediate than I expected. One thing I continue to notice with this deck is that I am not relying on the guidebook. Instead, I’m allowing each card to develop its own meaning through intuition and repeated experience. I expect those meanings to evolve throughout the month as patterns begin to emerge.
The Reading
Current – The Mask
My immediate impression was simple: I am wearing a mask.
The life I present to the world may not be the deepest expression of who I really am. Whether that mask represents protection, adaptation, or something else remains to be seen, but it immediately resonated as the central theme of today’s reading.
Past – The Mirror
Rather than interpreting the mirror as simple self-reflection, I felt it was telling me to look back at who I once was. I don’t necessarily think of this as a previous life in the traditional sense. I tend to see time as an illusion, making it more meaningful to think in terms of alternate expressions of consciousness rather than a linear sequence of lifetimes.
The card seemed to ask: Who have you been before, and what are you trying to understand about that version of yourself?
Future – People Pleasing
This card immediately connected with something I know about myself today. I often carry the burden of trying to keep everyone happy and worry deeply about disappointing people.
My first thought was that perhaps this isn’t simply a personality trait, but a lesson. If another expression of myself was selfish, violent, or unconcerned with others, perhaps this life represents an overcorrection—a period of learning empathy, compassion, and consideration for other people.
Whether that idea is literally true is less important than the insight it produces.
A Deeper Reflection
As I reflected on the reading, another possibility emerged.
Perhaps the lesson isn’t simply about becoming more compassionate. Perhaps it’s about learning the difference between genuine compassion and believing I’m responsible for everyone else’s happiness.
That distinction feels worth exploring over the coming weeks.
The Azazel Connection
One of the strongest insights from today’s reflection came unexpectedly.
I’ve long felt drawn to the figure of Azazel from the Book of Enoch. Initially, I focused on his rebellion and his role in bringing forbidden knowledge to humanity. During today’s reflection, I realized that what truly resonates with me isn’t violence or rebellion—it’s the role of revealing hidden knowledge.
That realization immediately felt authentic.
A large part of who I am, both personally and through my work, is driven by uncovering information, exposing overlooked facts, and showing people perspectives they have never considered before. Whether discussing true crime, history, spirituality, or symbolism, I find genuine fulfillment in bringing hidden things into the light.
That may be the aspect of the Azazel archetype that speaks most strongly to me.
Looking Ahead
Only two days into working with this deck, I already feel a stronger intuitive connection than I have experienced with many other oracle decks. Rather than looking for definitive answers, I’m becoming more interested in watching recurring themes emerge over the next 30 days.
If these cards continue to point toward the same lessons from different angles, I suspect the real message won’t come from any single reading—it will come from the pattern that develops over time.
For now, I leave today’s reading with more questions than answers, and that feels exactly right.

Really insightful reading. One day I will get you to do mine
I’ am interested in doing readings for others but haven’t had the nerve to try. I feel I don’t know others well enough to pick up on the subtle messages of the cards. Having said that, when I was a teenager I got really close to reading a total stranger
Hmmm… perhaps your people pleasing is what causes you to wear the mask and the mirror is the reminder to not lose yourself when trying to please everyone. This is what I love about Oracle cards…they really make you think. I sometimes joke that sometimes reading the cards is more emotionally draining than actual therapy, as often the cards do not pull any punches.
