Question: What should we work on today?
Cards Drawn:
- Present: Sabotaging Relationships
- Past: The Boogeyman
- Future: People Pleasing
Today’s reading immediately stood out because The Boogeyman appeared in the past position. From my earliest impressions of this deck, I viewed it as one of its most powerful cards, so seeing it emerge again felt significant. It called my attention to the fears, conditioning, and unresolved patterns that have followed me through different stages of my life.
The central card, Sabotaging Relationships, shifted my focus away from romantic relationships and toward the relationships that surround my work and my purpose. I began asking whether some of my current relationships—or the ways I manage those relationships—might unintentionally interfere with the growth of my YouTube channel and the work I feel called to do.
The future card, People Pleasing, reinforced a pattern that has already appeared more than once in previous readings. At this point, its repeated appearance no longer feels random. It feels like an ongoing lesson.
As I reflected, I realized that my desire to avoid disappointing people often competes with my willingness to make difficult decisions. Instead of simply doing what I believe is right for my channel or my long-term goals, I sometimes hesitate because I’m worried about upsetting someone or creating conflict. That instinct may be rooted in the “Boogeymen” of my past—old experiences, old fears, and learned behaviors that taught me to keep the peace, even when doing so comes at my own expense.
The message I take from today’s reading is that people pleasing is not always kindness. Sometimes it becomes a form of self-sabotage. If I continually place other people’s comfort ahead of the direction I believe I should take, I risk slowing my own progress and compromising the work I’m trying to build.
Today’s reflection is an invitation to recognize those old patterns without letting them dictate today’s decisions. Respecting others is valuable, but my purpose cannot depend on keeping everyone happy. Growth sometimes requires making choices that not everyone will appreciate, and that is a reality I need to become more comfortable accepting.

Yup that people pleasing shit might be your vampire.
