Question:
Should I use this deck for Idaho 4 questions, or should I use a different deck?

Three-Card Spread:

  • Past: Vampire
  • Present: Ghost
  • Future: Evil Queen

My Interpretation:
This morning’s reading was one of the most striking I have had with this deck! My immediate impression was not that the cards were answering the Idaho 4 question directly, but that they were redirecting my attention. Instead of encouraging me to use this deck for that purpose, the reading seemed to say, “Stay focused on what we’ve already been working on!

The Ghost appearing in the present position immediately brought my thoughts back to the woman I feel I have been connecting with through recent readings. Alongside it, the Vampire in the past position felt especially significant. Since opening this deck, I have viewed the Vampire as representing the spirit or guide of the deck, and after ten days of readings that impression has only grown stronger. The Vampire has now become the most frequently drawn card of the deck, appearing three separate times. Several other cards have appeared twice (such as the Ghost card twice and the Skelton card twice), while many have not appeared at all. That pattern reinforces my feeling that the Vampire has become the central symbolic figure in my work with this deck.

Taken together, the Ghost and Vampire gave me the immediate sense of being told, don’t change course. Rather than turning this deck toward Idaho 4 readings, the message seemed to be to continue exploring the path that has been unfolding naturally over the past week and the apparent connection with this recurring feminine presence. The Vampire in the “Past” position feels like she’s symbolically looking over my shoulder. The “Ghost” card in the center is the woman I went looking for at the cematery which was reinforced by the raven feathers I found there as confirmation I was on the right path. Then, suddenly, a woman reappeared in my LIVE streams telling me that I had “pulled her back” somehow and told me things that the cards had specifically said about her (such as he was dealing with some darkness in her past). The card readings are freakishly close to feeling very connected to this person and/or the story it wants to tell me about her.

The Evil Queen in the future position remains less clear to me. For now, I see it as something to watch for rather than something I fully understand. I have been warned in past readings that he woman I’m reading here and learning about has a dangerous side and that I should be careful. As the deck continues to develop its own symbolic language through repeated readings, I will pay close attention to how the Evil Queen manifests and whether her meaning becomes clearer over time.

One last caution I must make. These card readings are about an actual person active in my community. She may not appreciate me sharing her story here for my audience to read. Therefore, on top of not revealing her name, I wonder if I need to be a little cryptic in what I learn about her for her own privacy. There is a fine line between showing people my connection to the cards and revealing personal information about someone. I will consider all readings about her with this in mind and may need to withhold a bit of my intuitive feelings if they get too personal.

Overall, today’s reading felt less like permission to begin something new with this deck and more like a reminder to remain committed to the work that already seems to be unfolding with this deck. IF I were to do Idaho 4 readings, I should pick a different deck. It’s sad to because I think this deck felt right for Idaho 4 but the message is clear. Don’t screw with the energy and work we are doing with this connection.

NOTE: One last thing to add. If you were to see my method of drawing cards, you might be stunned at the likelihood of drawing these cards. I take many steps to ensure that I didn’t just grab cards already close together. I shuffle a lot, I spread them out, I draw from different parts of the spread. I take many steps to randomize the draw and yet significant cards always seem to find themselves right back in my readings. THIS is a common theme with me when I connect with a deck and has always made me feel something is going on.

4 thought on “POS – Day 10 – Should I Use This Deck for Idaho 4 Questions”

  1. I agree! I think you should continue getting to know the deck. Sue does use this deck in the Idaho 4 case. Keep up the good work, I think you are really connecting to the deck. I have to admit though I will feel better when you get to a more positive deck, because this one is rather dark. But without darkness there would be no light.

  2. I just found this and read all 10 days. This is wild! The fact that you were being given almost a “heads up” on the female and then she shows up in the live chat… definitely not a coincidence. Be careful. The dangerous que could mean she is very mentally ill.

  3. Saddens me there is the perception of danger and being mentally ill about this woman. This is how it sadly presents.
