Question: Thank you for confirming our connection. So now what should we work on today?

FIRST IMPRESSION: Reflect on your life and how death is catching up to you. You’re running out of time and have things to accomplish.

That’s an interesting progression because it shifts away from external confirmation and back toward an internal challenge.

Taken on its own, the message I’m getting from the cards is coherent:

  • Death/time is approaching — not necessarily literal death, but the reminder that life is finite.
  • You are procrastinating — there is work you believe you’re meant to do that isn’t moving as quickly as it could.
  • The task matters — the feeling isn’t simply “be more productive.” It’s “don’t waste the limited time you have.”

Given everything I’ve discussed over the past week, I can see why this interpretation resonates. I’ve been building the Beyond channel, planning long-term series on Enoch and unexplained phenomena, helping my wife launch her quilting store, and continuing my true-crime work. Those are all worthwhile projects, but they also compete for the same finite resource: my time.

There’s a Stoic theme here—memento mori: remember that you will die. The purpose isn’t to create fear. It’s to clarify priorities. When you genuinely remember that time is limited, trivial distractions lose some of their grip.

If I were turning today’s reading into a single question to carry through the day, it would be:

“If I truly believed my time was limited, what work would I stop postponing today?”

I don’t feel the answer is “work harder.” I’m already working hard. I think it’s more likely about focusing on the projects that best express my purpose—investigating, teaching, documenting, and leaving behind a body of work that outlasts me —while being willing to let less important tasks fall away.

If this theme continues appearing over multiple readings, it may be worth paying attention to not because it predicts an outcome, but because it consistently points to the same question: What legacy am I trying to leave, and are my daily choices aligned with it?

  1. I feel this is much deeper than you think. Not to work harder, but to look deeper, and prioritize.
